PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS
Forty years experience in the civil and structural engineering field,
including twenty years in positions of management and management
supervision.
Responsible
for a variety of design, engineering and construction contracts.
Projects have included: multi-storey office blocks, computer centre,
coastal protection, substation refurbishment, military tank training
and maintenance facilities; high integrity support structures for
nuclear related cranes; desalination plants; sewage treatment plants;
seawater cooling system for major petrochemical industrial complex;
above ground and underground liquid retaining structures; schools;
aggregate silo support structures; hospital and office complexes;
barn conversions and historical building restoration; housing; dairy
home delivery units, dairy and milk processing plants; rooftop and
green field telecommunications sites; brown field site development;
housing developments including brownfield sites; agricultural lecture
theatre; community centres; swimming pools; stabling and garages
and numerous domestic dwelling extensions; culvert, bridge and foundation
works. Providing structural engineering support services, as a sub
consultant, to two consultancies; an environmental consultancy;
and a civil/structural engineering consultancy. Provided support
services to Swindon Borough Council for Building Regulation Structural
Checks; Conversion of existing warehouse to a maintenance and storage
facility for the Council’s Direct Labour Organisation Swindon
Services; structural design services for an early learning centre;
housing subsidence studies and a number of small projects.
Responsibilities
have also included 4½ years resident engineer duties and
field auditing of construction contractors to assure contract compliance.
Projects have ranged in value to $75,000,000 (£50,000,000)
CIVIL INFRASTRUCTURE
Over 30 years experience in delivering a broad range of civil engineering projects particularly development infrastructure. Involvement in schemes ranges from feasibility studies through design and construction to handover to client or adopting organisation.
Specific experience of flooding and drainage issues including flood Risk assessment, Surface water management plans etc. and a wide experience of transportation including transport assessment and green travel plans.

C. DUCKER [Eddie] MRICS MCIOB
Commenced
his training in the office of Eric Coles & Partners Architectural
Practice in Cirencester, from there worked in Local Government [
Swindon] in their Architects and Surveyors Department, onto The
Health Authority [Berkshire] Capital Department, from there onto
[Oxford] running their Maintenance and Works Organisation at the
JRH, from this position became Head of Estates with Cranfield University.
During the latter part of these employments he set up his own Architectural
Consultancy centered mainly on the Cotswolds and surrounding areas
and now enjoys partnering with BDT [UK] Ltd.
Experience
